Mission statement

The Center for Children is a children’s advocacy center that promotes healing and justice for children who are victims of violence and sexual abuse, while striving to make the community safer through prevention, education, and advocacy.

We are the first stop for children in Mesa County and surrounding areas who are suspected victims of sexual and serious physical abuse and for children who may have witnessed a violent crime.

All services are provided at no charge, ever. Families need to focus on healing.

Brief description of services provided

The Center for Children offers five (5) program areas to victims and their families:

SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINER (S.A.N.E) PROGRAM
THERAPY & MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM
DEVELOPMENT & OUTREACH

Youth Specific Services
Social/Emotional Support, Holistic Wellness (Yoga, Acupuncture, etc.), Youth specific care, Forensic/SANE exams, Education / Job Training, Academic Support
