ALLYSSA MACALLISTER

HOTLINE SPECIALIST

Allyssa MacAllister is the Hotline Specialist at the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking. She holds a Masters in Social Work, concentrating in Leadership and Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Allyssa has been with LCHT since 2018, completing her year-long MSW field placement as an LCHT intern in the Leadership Development Program and continuing to support LCHT after graduation as an Advocate and then Backup Manager on Colorado’s 24/7 Human Trafficking Hotline. She has collaborated on the development of a Survivor Housing Assistance program and Denver’s Sexual Assault Response Protocol, created curriculua for aspiring Survivor Leaders and for children of DHS-involved families, and is currently working to update and expand the Resource Directory for LCHT’s Human Trafficking Hotline. Despite growing up in Florida, Allyssa considers the mountains her home. She sneaks off to snowboard at every opportunity and spends summers camping and listening to live music while waiting for the snow to fall.
