Finding Momentum During A Global Giving Movement
Welcome to the Momentum Campaign! On an election year, you might be a little bit tired of the word “campaign”. We promise that this is an effort you can still get excited about. After all, today is #GivingTuesday. It’s expected that more than 2.5 million charitable gifts totaling more than $300 million will be made in support of important causes around the world! Did you know that in the United States alone, more than 70% of people support mission-based organizations they care about with a financial donation? Solving the social issues of our time is work that is truly powered by the generosity of people. Put another way: The global giving movement is powered by a local response.

How You Can Increase Momentum to End Human Trafficking
Today, we want to invite you to be part of our community-based response to human trafficking. The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking is a leader in Colorado’s anti-trafficking movement. Since 2005, we have trained over 27,000 professionals and community members; conducted research to drive action and inform policy change; operated the statewide 24/7 human trafficking hotline; and developed over 140 future human rights leaders. We’re proud to have received a Gold Seal of Transparency from Guidestar, and to be named a “Top Nonprofit to Support on Giving Tuesday” by GreatNonprofits this year!
The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking has pushed through barriers and knocked down misconceptions about this crime all over the state. I am honored to work alongside LCHT with their efforts to spread awareness and develop survivor leadership programs.
