BASIC FUNCTION
Reporting to the Hotline and Advocacy Manager, the Hotline Resource Specialist will provide 24/7 on-call support to Colorado’s Human Trafficking Hotline on a rotational basis alongside program administrative support. This is a part-time (20 hours), non-exempt position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfill one week (Monday 8:00AM – following Monday 8:00AM) of staff on-call responsibilities per month. Expected “active time” while on-call is 2-5 hours per week. While on call, the Hotline Resource Specialist will be available 24/7 via phone and will be responsible for the following:
- Be a resource and thought partner when a question or situation falls outside of the scope of typical hotline scenarios, and/or when the Backup Manager needs additional support.
- Be a resource and thought partner when a question or situation falls outside of the scope of typical hotline scenarios, and/or when the Backup Manager needs additional support.
- Monitor the Backup Manager group WhatsApp chat and address questions that arise.
- Offer Advocates and/or Backup Managers emotional support for challenging calls.
- Monitor the Hotline email, reviewing Conversation Report Forms to determine whetherany proactive outreach/support for Advocates or Backups is needed.
- Answer Hotline calls should an Advocate and/or Backup Manager be tending to another caller when an additional call comes in, or if a call is missed.
- Cover unfilled Hotline/Textline shifts on a weekly basis prioritizing open evenings and weekends
- Provide Hotline administrative support including:
- Crafting and sending weekly shift reminder emails
- Recruiting Hotline Advocates for unfilled shifts
- Monitoring shift coverage
- Supporting promotion and outreach for Hotline trainings and events
- Tracking new resources added to the Resource Directory
- Entering Hotline data/responding to data sharing inquiries
- Updating the Volunteer Portal
- Representing the Hotline at tabling events
- Assist with preparation and coordination of Advocate Quarterly meetings
- Assist with coordination of Hotline Advocate Trainings
- Support resource directory vetting / mapping efforts

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION SOUGHT
- Previous experience as Colorado Human Trafficking Hotline Advocate and Hotline Backup Manager preferred
- Previous experience serving on another crisis or resource Hotline welcome
- Previous experience in direct service work, case management, or resource navigation preferred
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
LOCATION/HOURS
- Hybrid in Colorado with a willingness to travel to Denver quarterly
- Part-time, non-exempt position
- $20/hour + generous benefits package
