We are a community of safety and hope where positive relationships, choice, and essential resources transform lives.

Brief description of services provided

Women, transgender individuals, and their children who seek assistance from The Gathering Place have access to a wide range of programs and services. These include: Day shelter services that meet basic needs, connect clients to resources, crisis and wellness services, and provide peer to peer engagement. Additional services include: showers, laundry, nap rooms, meals, food/clothing bank, harm reduction (Narcan + training & test strips), Art studio, peer specialist, mental health services, and housing case management.

Good to know (internal only)
  • Single Adults: no ID req – can use alias on intake paperwork.
  • Families: ID & proof of custody (birth cert, court docs, etc) req for day shelter, fam services, and motel vouchers. Motel Vouchers: families only, no adult cis-men, only available for fams who haven’t used their 12 motel days
  • Resource Navigation Needs: 303-996-9021
  • Day Shelter Info & Appointments: 303-996-9023
    • Walk-in preferred and given priority over phone calls (possible long hold time)

  • Who to Refer: all adult survivors except cis-males needing general services/help w basic needs
  • What they Do: Day Shelter to meet basic needs, connect to resources, access crisis and wellness services, and engage with peers.
  • Services: HT Survivors Group, Food Bank (appt or walk-in hours), Clothing Closet (appt needed), Harm Reduction (Narcan + training & test strips), Peer Specialist/Peer Substance Recovery Support, MH & Crisis Services, Housing CM, Resource Navigation, Employment/Education Support, Medical/Dental/Wellness Services, Legal Assistance
    • Appointments can be made by phone or at front-desk
    • Amenities: Shower, Laundry, Nap Rooms, Art Studio, Family Area, Computer Lab
    • Meals: Breakfast 8:30a-9:30a; Lunch 11:30a-12:45p; Snack: 3:30p-4p
  • Safe Shelter Collab Partner (i.e. potential for hotel stay) 
  • Transportation Assistance: bus passes, cab vouchers, Greyhound/Bustang (dependent on funding)
