Mission statement

Crossroads Safehouse shelters, supports, advocates for, and empowers all people so we can live free of domestic violence and interpersonal abuse.

Brief description of services provided

With a focus on sheltering, outreach, and prevention, Crossroads provides trauma-informed advocacy and support to victims and aspires to create a future without domestic violence. Programs and services include a 24/7 crisis line, emergency shelter, non-resident advocacy, domestic abuse response, legal advocacy, legal representation, rapid rehousing, prevention and education, and youth and bilingual advocacy.

HT must overlap with DV/IPV to be eligible for shelter

  • Undoc & no ID ok – may ask status for safe referrals, but NOT reported, bring ID if available
  • Pet foster care partnership + pet reunification plan – pets sheltered in-homes of CSU Vets. Service animals can stay in shelter with owner.
  • Location secure but address not confidential.

Shelter Ages: Adults (18+), accompanied minors. Young parents (under 18yo) on case-by-case

Non-Shelter Service Ages: 13+ yo (under 13yo w parental consent)

  • Phone Screen Required. Bed reserved bed for 12-72 hrs after screening.
  • Will share bed availability with advocate, but survivor must call for screening. Warm handoff ok.
  • 24/7 Intake. Arrival 8a-10p (exceptions permitted).
Service details (internal only)
  • Type: Trauma-informed DV Safehouse (HT must overlap w IPV)
  • Stay: 2-8 wks Space: own room, shared bathroom & common areas Safety: Secure but not confidential – 24hr on-site staff and monitored cameras. Security system, wall/gated property, one entry point.
  • Requirements: Bi-weekly check-ins; No substance, sub use/intox on property. No curfew, but asked to stay more nights than not
  • Addt’l Services: Healthcare (monthly), therapy, support groups, youth & family progs. VI-SPDAT and Address Confidentiality Program enrollment.
