Leadership Development
Become a human rights leader in your community
It’s so much more than an internship. Our Leadership Development Program invests in your success and prepares you for a future of working on human trafficking and other human rights issues.
You will be a critical part of our team and gain experience in areas such as advocacy, awareness building, organizational leadership, volunteer management, fundraising, and research.
How LCHT internships work
This program is for you if you want to grow as a sustainable leader in anti-trafficking, human rights, or a parallel movement.
Participants complete a minimum of 150 hours in one of two sessions: Summer (June–August) or Fall (September–November). In some cases, the Fall session may extend to a yearlong internship (September–May). Spring-only placement is not currently offered.
We welcome both academic and non-academic applicants at all career and life stages. Academic credit is not required.
Leadership Development Program internships are unpaid, but needs-based scholarships are available!
