Leadership Development with Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking

Developing sustainable leaders in anti-trafficking work and parallel movements.

Since 2005, LCHT has supported over 125 interns in their journey to becoming human rights leaders. We encourage traditional academic internships as well as non-traditional community-based internships.

HOW INTERNSHIPS WORK

  • SELECTION AND COMMITMENT

    Applicants who meet LCHT’s qualifications will be invited for an in-person interview prior to final selection. Our team will review and collect all necessary paperwork from educational institutions if an intern is seeking academic credit. Accepted interns will attend an orientation and complete a minimum of 150 hours in a given session. (spring, summer, or fall)

  • PART OF THE TEAM

    LCHT interns are a critical part of our organization’s success. Every internship combines an educational approach to the study of human trafficking with on-the-ground practice in areas such as organizational management, fundraising, communications, and research. Interns shadow speaking events, attend task force meetings, and travel for events when appropriate.

  • LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

    LCHT focuses on providing leadership development training for every intern. We seek to equip interns with a leadership framework and skills that they can bring to their community and career. This is facilitated through our leadership curriclum, one-on-one support, and other training opportunities.
